Dallas Art Book Fair
Dallas Art Book Fair (DABF) has grown into Dallas Contemporary’s highest-attended program. Free and open to the public, the fair brings together regional, national, and international artists, presses, publishers, galleries, and bookstores for a two-day celebration of printed matter, critical discourse, and creative exchange.
Since the fair’s inception, Alexandra Hulsey has led the development of DABF’s brand identity and communications strategy.

Produced visual systems for the fair including wayfinding, maps, signage, posters, and on-site materials
Oversaw merchandising strategy and shop integration tied to the fair
Ensured cohesion across digital, print, and physical touchpoints

Led press outreach, messaging, and editorial framing
Developed social media strategy, storytelling, and content schedules
Wrote and maintained web content positioning DABF within DC’s broader institutional mission

Led the vendor application workflow, managing the application platform and serving on the jury
Produced onsite and satellite programs
Developed new revenue formats, including ticketed preview experiences connected to membership and fundraising
